Scope and Contents

Records of Robert M. Addison and a variety of partners including his son Harry Wood Addison, hardware and farm machinery merchants in Marshall, Lyon County from 1872-1974. Includes personal and business correspondence and records dealing with the Minnesota Retail Hardware Association; Robert M. Addison and Company, Waseca, Waseca County, predecessor of the Marshall store; Union Heating Company, Marshall; Sunset Realty Company, Portland, Oregon; and Crimsom Springs Lumber Co., Crimson Springs, West Virginia. Note: The Lyon County Historical Society has three volumes of Day books for the Addison and Mott Hardware Store from 1875-1878.
