Scope and Contents
A retired farmer's wife, age 89, who married at age 18 and moved to South Dakota to farm, and in 1911 to Montevideo where she farmed until the 1940's. Both Laura and her husband were involved in co-operative movements in Chippewa County. She was also active in the Farmers Union, and for a short time active in the Farm Holiday. Topics discussed are the various farmers' coops in Montevideo over the years Co-op Canning Company, Co-op Store, activities of the Farmers' Union, and general farm life.
