Pieper, age 102, is a German immigrant who came to Minnesota in 1890, working for a while in Steele County, as a hired man on a farm. In 1898 married and moved to Clara City, Chippewa County where he started to farm and purchased a 120 acre farm. Discusses farm life and changes on the farm from 1898 to 1940's when he retired.
